Dance festival
Sri Mudhraalaya, Pondicherry Road (Ph: 91-44-2447 3747) has organised a three-day dance festival, `Nritya Purnima' at Stree Seva Mandir, IV Avenue, Ashok Nagar from June 3-5. Prizes will be distributed to the winners of the Bharatanatyam competition conducted in association with Thee Shiksha Garden Club earlier this year. Select items of the winners and runners up will perform at the three-day festival.
Lec-dem
Music journal Naadhabrahmam is celebrating its third anniversary on June 3 at 6.30 p.m. at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan mini hall, Mylapore. Vellore Ramabhadran will be the chief guest. V. V. Srivatsa will give a lecture demonstration on `The Navarathnamalika kritis of Swati Tirunal.'
Radha Kalyanam
Madhanandapuram Baktha Samajam (Ph: 2482 5838), Santhoshnagar, Porur will be celebrating the fourth Radha Kalyana Mahotsavam at Sri Durga Lakshmi Saraswathi Temple (Ph: 5547 8105) on June 4 and 5. Tirupugazh Selvar Sri Muthukrishna Bagavathar will perform sampradaya bhajan, ashtapathi and the festival will conclude with Anjaneya Utsavam.
Music classes
