Fitting tribute

Sir, — This is with reference to the article, `He empowered through discourses' (June 3), a tribute to Swami Ranganathananda of the Ramakrishna Order who attained Samadhi on April 25. It is said that the Swamiji's diksha is based on empowerment through spiritual discourses. In this connection, it may be recalled that Rajaji wrote a book containing the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and called it `Ramakrishna Upanishad.' In the same way, the spiritual discourses of Ranganathananda known as `Abinava Vivekananda' (second Vivekananda) among his numerous disciples deserves to be published under the title, `Ranganatha Upanishad' for the benefit of mankind.

K. Vasu,

Chennai.
