A lot to cheer about
RELIEVED: Jeeva
Jeeva is heaving a sigh of relief. The anxiety and trauma he underwent because he couldn't get `Ullam Kaetkumae' released on time is an old story.
"It was a nightmare," the director-cameraman admits. But the strangest part is he is already into his next script! "You can't allow such stumbling blocks to bog you down," he laughs.
"`Ullam ... ' was the first film for Arya, Asin and Pooja, but they were very natural from the beginning ... also Laila and Shaam were very co-operative," certifies Jeeva.
Ask him about the `Autograph' influence that some see in `Ullam ... ' and Jeeva is peeved. "Please ... this is unfair. I completed `Ullam Kaetkumae' about one and half years before `Autograph' was made," he says.
Otherwise his camera assignments have kept him busy. Lingusamy, Jeeva and Meera Jasmine who made a winning team with `Run' come together again for `Sandai Kozhi.' Vishal is the hero. And Jeeva is all set to crank the camera for Kamal's `Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu.' The two join hands after `Indian.'
Tasting success
"I'm on cloud nine, I think I'm the most excited of the `Ullam ... ' team," laughs Shaam. "Though `Ullam ... ' has come out late the result is gratifying."
ON CLOUD NINE: Shaam
In the three days after the release of `Ullam ... ' Shaam had watched 14 shows continuously in various theatres. "The response has been wonderful in all the areas ... " he says. Shaam's next film will be `ABCD' with Sneha, Nandana and Aparna. Sharavana Subbiah is the director.
