Books 'n' music



NEW BOOKS H.S. Parvathi's (below )Nanda Nandana will be released; Pallavi (below) and Arun Kumar will put up a music show

Sundara Prakashana, a leading publishing house, will be releasing three books this evening at Ravindra Kalakshetra, 6 p.m.


The books that will be released are Nanda Nandana by H.S. Parvathi, Mana Manthana by C. Sitharam and Avadharisu Ba by Tejaswini Urs. Dr. Ashok Pai, Dr. C. Somashekar and Mr. K.E. Radhakrishna will be present for the book release.


Nanda Nandana by H.S. Parvathi is the story of the childhood of Lord Krishna. The book outlines the cruel attitude of Kamsa, the travails of Vasudeva and the very difficult circumstances under which Krishna was born. It is a story that captures the imagination of those who have a fascination for Indian mythology. Mana Manthana is the story of Journalist Chappalli Seetharam's fight against schizophrenia with his own powerful will and the medication of doctors like Dr. Jayaram. Avadharisu Ba is an anthology that makes an attempt to grasp the 12th century vachana movement.

Apart from the book release, there will also be a unique music treat. Popular singer M.D. Pallavi will jam with percussionist Arun Kumar.
