Books for the devout
Sri Yogamaya Bhuvaneswari Peetam, Sri Bharadwaja Ashram, (Gangai Nagar, Kallikuppam Bus Stand, Redhills Road, Ambattur) has released three books, written by Sri Bharadwaja Swamigal, that will enrich the collection of the spiritually inclined.
``Allal Theerkum Annai Durgai" (Rs. 75) is all about the deity, the legends connected, significance of Rahu kala puja and so on. Also it contains slokas and hymns for chanting. The Durga Sahasranamavali with meaning is a highlight of this book.
In a note, Sri Bharadwaja Swamigal says that the namavali slokas contained in ``Hara hara Mahadeva" were culled out by his father Sri Bhuvaneswari Swamigal.
The book speaks of various aspects of deity worship, significance of Rudraksha, Pradosham and so on. Price Rs.150.
``Manthra Aradhanai," (Rs. 85) as the title indicates, gives slokas special for various deities, how to perform puja and so on.
