Sita kalyanam

Sri Vittal Bhajan mandali, Adambakkam, will conduct Sita Kalyanam on July 9 and 10 under the guidance of Tiruvisalur Ramakrishna Bahgavatar. The venue is Sri Panduranga Mandir, Adambakkam. The Mandali in association with Sri Gnananada Mandali is also celebrating Ashada Shudda Ekadasi. The day is observed with great religious fervour at Pandarpur, the belief being that Lord Vishnu enters Yoga nidra on this day. The awakening takes place on Uddhana Ekadasi falling in the month of Karthigai (November).

The rituals at Adambakkam began on Wednesday last and will continue up to July 18. Abhanga sankirtanam and concerts will be the highlights of the festival. For details contact 22440405, 22241556).
