Self-realisation at its core

`Aatmaanubhoothiki Asthaadasa Dwaaraalubook' is a blend of science and spirituality, says A. RAMALINGA SASTRY

A book titled Aatmaanubhoothiki Asthaadasa Dwaaraalu was released at a function held under the coordinative aegis of all the local literary bodies in the Conference Hall of the Public Library. Coordinator Vedula Subrahmanya Sastry averred that it turned out to be an idiomatically accomplished Telugu version of the original in English, Gateways to self-realisation by G. Narayana. He showered encomiums congratulating Shyam Sundar for bringing out such an exquisite translation in Telugu.

Narayana, a well qualified engineer and a postgraduate in management studies, has been a director of general and corporate sectors and authored many a book including Strategic Management, Stairways to Excellence and the like expounding the ever extant value of the principles of economic and commercial management embedded in the works of Chanakya. "He is known for deriving not only a corollary out of such works but also pliable methodologies of practicable applications in the modern management of men, material and money," Vedula said when introducing Narayana on the occasion. The Ahmedabad and Baroda-based management associations have also established a study circle in his name, Guru Narayan Centre for Leadership at Baroda recently, Vedula informed the gathering.

The import of the message contained in the book Gateways to Self-realisation is a fine blend of the scientific principles and the holistic philosophy of spiritual ardour. The book reveals a piously pioneered vista for achieving consummate knowledge of the self within and its ultimate realisation. Thus opined Prof. R. Venkata Rao, principal of A.U. Law College and former Professor of A.U. Dept. of Telugu, K. Malayavasini, who respectively chaired the session and released the book on the occasion.

The President of the Sahitya Surabhi, Vruddhula Kalyana Rama Rao and former Professor of S.K.D. University, Ananthapur, Salaka Raghunatha Sarma reviewed the contents of the book in detail. Rambhatla Narisimha Sarma compered the show.
