Propagating Ramana philosophy

SPIRITUAL JOURNEY: Ramana Ratham ready to leave.

The Pudhuvai Ramana Kendram, established in March 2004, has been carrying out several activities creating awareness among the people about Ramana Maharshi's philosophy.

Apart from distribution of handbills, publication of Sri Arunachala Atcharamanamalai and making the saint's pictures available,

Procession

the Kendram arranges for the procession of the saint's idol on a `Ramana Kendra Ratham' which would travel to the different regions of Pondicherry and Karaikal in a phased manner. The functionaries of the Kendram accompany the chariot chanting the `Sri Arunachala Atcharamanamalai'.

For school children

According to the Kendram's founder M. S. Chandrasekar, the Kendram also conducts special programmes on important occasions and during the Tamil month of Margazhi, in various temples.

The office bearers of the Kendram also go to schools and teach the children to recite the Atchara manamalai.

During `pradosham' the verses are explained to the devotees at various temples.
