Are they in love or not? Fazil's latest offering is all about emotions.

A CURIOUS PAIR: Oru Naal Oru Kanavu
You find the crew packing when you reach the scene — a small house — and director Fazil is getting inside the car. ``Get in," he says. ``We are moving to the next location." The offer is gleefully accepted and Fazil fills in on the details of Lakshmi Movie Makers India Limited "Oru Naal Oru Kanavu," which has Srikanth and Sonia Agarwal in the lead.
"This may sound clichéd, but it is a love story with a difference," starts Fazil . Srikanth is a young man with M.A., living with his parents and three sisters. Heroine Sonia is rich and naughty. She expresses her love for him and he turns her down. Hurt, she goes, not before challenging that she would make him propose to her. The day comes and it is now her turn to decline the offer." The storyline is indeed intriguing. Fazil continues, ``Both take the right stand. But there is more to come and that is the climax." Fazil is pleased with his work due for release soon. The highlight of the film is the songs tuned by Ilaiyaraaja. "This is the first musical subject we are working together," the composer seems to have said. They have worked together for 10 films, giving some haunting melodies. For instance, "Kadalukku Mariyathai", "Poove Poochudava" and "Kannukul Nilavu." For this film, the Master has tuned a memorable song in Kalyani sung by Bhavadarini, Shreya Goswal, Sadana Sargam, Hariharan and Ilaiyaraja. The first line of the song goes like this `Katril Varum Geethamae.' ``There is no villain as such here, human emotions playing the role," says Fazil walking straight into the set.
The movie has Ilavarasu, Sukumar, Sisir Manoher and Sathya. Ananda Kuttan handles the camera, V. R. Sekhar and Gowri Shanker are doing the editing. Mani and Suchitra are taking care of the art department. Lyrics are by Vaale and Pazhani Bharathi.
