Silver jubilee
Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Vidyalayam, Saidapet (Ph: 2371 2113) is celebrating its silver jubilee on August 13 and 14 at Arulmigu Subramanya Swami Koil, V. S. Mudali Street, Saidapet. Eminent artistes will be honoured at the function dedicated to late M. B. Vasudevan.
Bhajans
Vedic Sangeeta Foundation (Ph: 2499 7422) has organised `Ashtapathi' bhajan and Abhang bhajan from August 13-15 at Asthika Samajam, Alwarpet. Sri Krishna Premi Swamigal will deliver the anugraha bhashan. The programmes include Vedic chanting, Ashtapathi bhajan by G. Thiagarajan and Kalyanarama Bhagavathar and Abhang Sangeetha Harikatha by Sri Tukaram Ganapathi Maharaj.

Pavithrotsavam
