The segregation of the present-day Indian society according to the weight of the pocket and the fame of the face is so well established that we have begun to have `exclusive' TV shows now with offering a ringside view of the gala lives of the rich and famous. And for Zee Business channel, this "View From The Top" is prime time news. Neva Jain, the host of the channel's show, says she has reasons indeed to believe in its saleability."Even this show is increasingly getting watched by viewers," she states. "It is a fact now that people have increasingly begun to take interest in the lives of the celebrities. So, my show takes the viewers to the beautiful houses and offices of these high and mighty.Side by side with conversations, it gives viewers a much-wanted peep at their lifestyles too," explains Neva.

The show, conceptualised, scripted and edited by Neva, is the channel's only show in English. "This is to attract the upmarket segment of TV viewers to this otherwise Hindi channel." The guests list covered since its premiere in June are Ritu Nanda, Bina Modi, Rajan Mittal, Farooq Abdullah, Sunil Munjal, Praful Patel, Ritu Beri besides some others.

"It is not a very intrusive show. It has a feel-good factor about it. It falls very well with the show's motto - aspirational, inspirational and motivational," says the former print journalist. Though getting into the lives of these high profile guests at times become a "little tough", she says, most generally come about "because of good relations" with the business family of her in-laws. The show, segmented into three parts, also steals a look at the products of the upmarket brands like Bvlgari, Louis Vuitton and Amartra Spa, etc.

Finally, she signs off each show by taking viewers to "a hip and happening party" that she is being invited to. Well, welcome to yet another instance of Page 3 journalism.
