Art festival

Kartik Fine Arts, Chennai, will celebrate its 31st year art festival from December 1 at Narada Gana Sabha and the 10th Tamil Isai festival from December 26 at Valliammal College for Women, Anna Nagar. Artistes who have excelled in their respective fields will be awarded titles on the occasion.

The following is the list of artists to be honoured: B. Ranjani and B. Gayathri (vocalists) - Isai Peroli; Ramya Ramnarayan - Nadanamamani; Sankari Krishnan - D. K. Pattammal award of Excellence for young talented vocalist; K. Hariharan - Kartik Rajagopal Golden Jubilee committee award for best organiser;

The following artistes will be honoured during the Tamil Isai festival: M. Balamuralikrishna - Tamil Isai Vendar; Madras A. Kannan AIR - Sirkazhi Govindarajan Memorial award.
