Maha Samprokshanam

The Maha Samprokshanam of Sundararaja Perumal temple, Azhagiyamanavalam is scheduled to take place on September 15 at 9.30 a.m. Sattrumurai will take place at 11 a.m.

Consecration held

Mahakumbabhishekam was held for the shrines of Sri Sundareswarar, Aiyappa and other deities at Sri Appayya Dikshitar Matam in Tiruvirinchipuram, Vellore district, on September 5. Renovation of the temple was taken up a few months ago by Siva-Sudha, a Chennai-based organisation.

Kumbabhishekam

The kumbabhishekam of Thirukondaiyur Chokanathaswamy temple will take place on September 15. Linked to interesting legends, the 2,000-year old temple, situated on the banks of Chandanaru, a tributary of River Cauvery, is 20 km from Tiruvarur. Contributions may be sent to R.
