Concert series
Sarvani Sangeetha Sabha Trust is conducting a three-day thematic concert series which will include the compositions of Bhadrachala Ramadas, Toomu Narasimhadas, Sadasiva Brahmendra, Swati Tirunal and Purandaradasa. Artistes from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala will participate in the event scheduled for September 10-12 at the Music Academy Mini Hall. Consecration
Renvoation work is on at Sri Pallikondeeswarar temple, Surutapalli, where kumbabhishekam has been planned. It was last performed in 1979. Contributions are invited for the successful completion of the task. Nadopasana Music Trust (Ph: 2441 3572/2441 7594) has organised a Namasankeertanam concert by Udayalur Kalyanarama Bhagavathar on September 9 at 6.30 p.m. The venue is Sri Dakshinamurthy Auditorium, PSHS School, R. K. Mutt Road, Mylapore.
