Book on Subbudu

The Bhavan's Book University Publication, `Beyond Destiny — The Life and Times of Subbudu,' by Lada Guruden Singh, will be released today (September 23) at 7 p.m., at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sri Venkata Auditorium, East Mada Street, Mylapore. Justice K. S. Bhaktavatsalam, chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chennai Kendra, presides. K. S. Mahadevan, music critic, introduces the book and Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti releases it. Sudha Raghunathan will receive the first copy. Felicitations will be offered by A. Natarajan (former director, Doordarshan Kendra, Chennai) and Kunnakkudi Vaidyanathan (member secretary, Eyal Isai Nataka Mandram). The function will be preceded by O. S. Arun's vocal recital at 6 p.m.
