French play

Innland Theatre in association with Alliance Francaise is staging 'Harshavardhan' written and directed by Jawaharlal. It has been translated into French by Prof. Leela Nagaraj.

The play, which captures the quintessence of Harshavardhan's reign spanning 41 years, will be staged on September 30, October 1 and 2 at Alliance Francaise.

Jawaharlal joined Alliance as student in 1993. His passion for theatre made him embark on directing plays in French.

His maiden attempt, ``Le Gross Et Le Petit," was a hit. This was followed by Vikatakavi (historical) and ``Les Preccieuses Ridiculus" (comedy).
