The hate Paris brigade

Shirley MacLaine has joined the bandwagon of anti-Paris Hilton stars, by saying that the hotel heiress does not deserve her film roles.

``She just shops and turns up to parties. So she wears pink and has blonde hair and suddenly calls herself not a starlet or an ingénue — no, according to Paris, she is a movie star,'' MacLaine said, "It irritates me. In my day, you had to really work."

George Clooney is all ready to give revellers a taste of the past by opening a casino, in Las Vegas fashioned on the 50's style. The actor revealed that the place would offer people a 50's style ambience, very similar to the one that his late aunt Rosemary Clooney sang for in her youth.

"We have this romantic vision of putting on a suit, getting dressed up and going down to the casino and having a big band playing, having dinner and pushing the tables back and people dancing," Clooney said.
