The Kala Mandir Trust has arranged for a Bharatanayam presentation by Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar and Ms. Leela Samson at TTK Auditorium, Music Academy, on October 20, (Thursday) at 6 p.m.
Dance festival
Rasika Ranjani Sabha is organising a Navarathiri Dance Festival at the R.K. Swamy Hall, Sir Sivaswamy Kalalaya School, in which various artists will perform. The festival concludes on October 16.
Dance feature
A thematic dance feature "Eesan Adi Poattri," on Manickavachagar's `Thiruvaachagam' will be performed by Laavanyaa & Mrinaalini on October 15 (Saturday), 6.30 p.m. at Venkada Auditorium, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
Based on the Bible
`Nritya Sadhana,' a Bharatanatyam recital, will be performed by Fr. Saju George, SJ, on October 16 (Sunday), at the Music Academy at 6 p.m. He will be presenting a few dance choreographies based on the `Bible' along with some of the traditional Bharatanatyam themes.
Harikatha
M.V.Simhachala Sastry from Guntur will render a Harikatha in Telugu on `Paduka Pattabhishekam' under the auspices of Sarvani Sangeetha Sabha at Music Academy Mini Hall at 6 p.m.
