Thanks to the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam's Annamacharya Project, some hundreds of great compositions of the `Sankeertana Pitamaha' Annamacharya have now reached even the layman.
Vidwans are also propagating the keertanas through their concerts.
Pappu Sadasiva Sastri of Vijayawada, a dedicated and devoted singer of Annamacharya keertanas, particularly has been singing the keertanas in various temples and Sabhas regularly contributing in no small measure in popularising the compositions.
In a recent concert held in Kodanda Ramalayam, Sadasiva Sastri treated the lovers of devotional music with his highly appealing presentation of a large number of Annamayya keertanas some already heard and some new.
Some of the fine renditions included Abhayanayakudu (Bouli), Deva Namo Deva (Hamsadhwani), Anisamu Talacharo (Natakuranji), Kandarpa Janaka (Valaji), Bhavamulona (Sudha Dhanyasi), Akativelala (Subhali), Muddugare Yasoda (Kuranji), Periginadu Choodaro (Mohana) and many more compositions.
Sastri was well accompanied by G. Srinivasamurthy on violin and Jayaraj on tabla.
