Music festival

Shanthi Arts Foundation and Endowments, East Abiramapuram (Ph: 2499 4208/ 0402/ 2467 2539), an organisation promoting young musicians is celebrating its 10th anniversary by organising a mega awards function at Narada Gana Sabha Hall on November 5. Ten musicians will be awarded the title, `Sangeetha Saptha Sagara,' a cash award of Rs. 4,000 each, a gold medal and a citation. Six mridangam artistes will be presented the `Lifetime Achievement Award' and a cash prize of Rs. 4,000 each, along with a medal and citation. Prize winners of the All India Ragam Tanam Pallavi competition will be given cash prizes and certificates.
