Making talent hunt a mobile process, Channel V has tied up with Airtel for their search of Mobile Singer. Viewers can watch the channel between 8 and 8.30 pm (Monday-Friday) to sample the short-listed Bappi Lahiri songs along with the lyrics. This will help them to practice and brush up their singing before they call in and audition. They can then call on 64676 and sing any of their favourite composer's songs as part of the initial audition phase. " Now people don't have to line up at crowded venues. They can have a shot from the comfort of their home or even car!," says Amar K Deb, head of Channel V. He adds that the participants can re-record their song till they are satisfied with their performance. "From the entire pool of the entries received, the best will be short-listed."
Bappi, who created waves recently when he made Dev Anand sing a rap song for his forthcoming film `Prime Minister,' says he has given the industry singers like Alisha Chinoy, Usha Uthup and Remo Fernandes and will love to do it again. Bappi da will be aided by vocal experts to ensure that everyone gets a fair shot at winning. The finalists will be flown down to Mumbai. The winner will get an opportunity to sing and star in a disco video along with Bappi Lahiri.
The song will also feature on a Bappi da album.
