Ninth anniversary
Rukmini Arts and Music Trust will celebrate its ninth anniversary on Nov. 12, 5.15 p.m., at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Mini Hall, Mylapore. S. Rajam, musician , Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer, mridanga vidwan and R. Pichumani, veena vidwan, will be felicitated. A Carnatic music concert by Vijayalakshmi Subramanyam will be at 6.15 p.m.
Samudra, a monthly magazine exclusively dedicated to music, dance, drama and art cinema will celebrate its third anniversary on Nov. 13, at Mylapore Fine Arts Club, (4 p.m.) The function will be followed by a concert of P. Unnikrishnan.
Musical Tribute
Sri Vighneswara Cultural and Arts Trust and Sri Krishna Sweets will jointly present a musical tribute to Muthuswamy Dikshithar, by the disciples of Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan. The programme will be held on November 13 at Dr.Vimala Convent, West K.K.Nagar at 5 p.m. Kalayanarama Bhagavathar will present a Nama Sankeerthanam at 6.30 p.m.
Funds needed
Thulaseeswarar koil, which is more than 850 years old, is situated in Kolathur village near Singaperumal Koil. The idols of deities have to be installed and Gopuram needs to be constructed, for which funds are needed.
