Renovation
The shrines of the ancient Sri Adikesava Perumal Temple, Valleepuram Village & Post (via) Ponvilindakalathur, Kanchipuram District-603 405, where Nitya Aradhana and utsavams were performed till about 30 years ago, is a shambles now. The aradhana too is a thing of the past because the temple has no archakar. The Adikesava Kainkarya Trust has embarked on `Project Renovation and Restoration of Glory' of the temple at Valleepuram at a cost of about Rs.25 lakhs. Temple at Kuzhithurai
The Mahalakshmi Temple at Kuzhithurai, Kanyakumari, District, hailed as a Varaprasadhi, attracts devotees from far and near. The temple is run only on donations and though the authorities never seek assistance, money keeps flowing in. Funds sought
Sri Bhakta Anjaneyar Temple, at AG's Colony, Kottivakkam, will be renovated and Maha Kumbabhishekam performed in Jan-Feb 2006. As the existing structure is weak, a new one with a two-tier vimanam and arthamandapam will be built in Phase I of the project. Phase II will involve the building of a mahamandapam, an auditorium and a library. The estimated cost of Phase I is about Rs.10 lakhs.
