Building the biggest airliner

Discovery channel will take an exclusive look at the building of the world's biggest airliner in the programme, Giant of the skies: building the airbus A380.

The most ambitious project ever in civil aviation — building the world's biggest airliner — the 240-foot triple-decker Airbus A380 is due to enter into commercial service carrying more than 550 passengers. The second episode of the three-part mini-series profiling the scientists, engineers, pilots, mechanics, architects and designers who have come together to build the world's newest and most sophisticated airplane,will be aired on November 19, 2005 at 10 p.m.

This series will take the viewers on an exclusive tour of the planning, construction and launch of this historic airplane.
