With animation taking over, for long we are missing real animals on silver screen. The wait is over for "Spymate" is going to hit the screens this Friday.
Directed by Robert Vince who earlier gave us "Air Bud", the film is about a highly trained super spy chimpanzee named Minkey who works with his human partner Mike Muggins played by Chris Potter. Mike has given up espionage mission because they were getting too dangerous for his growing up daughter. Minkey moves to circus.
But after many years they have to come together for now the very daughter's life is in danger. In the meantime, Minkey has become an expert at Kung fu fighting, trapeze flying and mountain climbing making the adventure all the more exciting.
Producer Anna McRoberts has reportedly called the film a family entertainer. "It has something for everyone no matter what their age." Robert says it's a spy movie but the presence of chimp brings certain uniqueness to the film.
