Centre for cultural activities

Sri Parvati, a centre for cultural activities (28, Eldams Road, Alwarpet), will be inaugurated by N.R. Chandran, Advocate General, on November 28 at 6 p.m. N. Vijay Siva will give a music concert.

Abhang

Abi, Sri Devi Fine Arts has organised Iyappan paamaalai by Dr. Manibharathi group on November 27, 6.45 p.m. at Rani Seethai Hall.

Centenary celebrations

In connection with the birth centenary of mridangam exponent, Courtallam Sivavadivel Pillai, the Music College students will pay homage on November 25, 5.30 p.m. at Sastry Hall, Mylapore.

Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer will be felicitated at 6 p.m., which will be followed by a music concert by T. V. Sankaranarayanan.

Music and Dance Festival

The Sivan Fine Arts Academy, West Mambalam, will organise a series of concerts based on Rukmani Ramani's compositions, in its second annual music and dance festival, November 29-December 5, at Dakshinamoorthy Auditorium, Mylapore.

`Thiruvarur Pancharatnam' will be rendered on November 28 at 5.30 p.m. and the festival will be inaugurated by L. Sabaretnam, Chairman, Karthik Fine Arts.

Interactive session

Ace director and cinematographer Santosh Sivan will host a lively interactive session at Landmark, Spencer Plaza, coinciding with the release of his Tamil film, "Navarasa," the journey of self-realisation.

This National Award winning film, produced by Handmade Films, revolved round the third gender.

Music and Dance

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kalakendra and Kala Pradarshini will hold a Music and Dance programme from Nov.25 to Dec.16, at Bhavan's Sri Venkata Auditorium, 18-22, East Mada Street, Mylapore.
