ICONIC STORY: King Kong

Flamboyant, foolhardy documentary filmmaker Carl Denham sails off to remote Skull Island to film his latest epic with leading lady, Ann Darrow. Native warriors kidnap Ann to use as a sacrifice.

They summon `Kong' with the help of a local witch doctor. But instead of devouring Ann he saves her.Kong is eventually taken back to New York where runs amok, searching for Ann. Finally he winds up at the top of the Empire State Building, facing off against a fleet of World War 1 fighter planes.

Director Peter Jackson's reworks the classic 1933 monster movie and brings his sweeping cinematic vision to the iconic story.

In the soon to be released film, he re-teams with long time collaborators Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, to co-write the screenplay of `King Kong.'

The cast includes Naomi Watts, Jack Black, Adrien Brody, Andy Serkis and Thomas Kretschmann.
