Venky keen on a Malayalam remake

The Mammootty-starrer Rajamanickam is doing roaring business in Malayalam. It broke the records, as it reportedly collected over Rs. 3 crore in just a few days, never heard of before in the history of Malayalam cinema. Popular financier and producer Singanamala Rameshbabu got the remake rights for the film in Telugu. It is rumoured that Venkatesh is showing interest in the Telugu version of the film , as he likes doing remake films. Presently, he is doing Lakshmi under the direction of V.V. Vinayak, which is slated for release in January next. However, it is still unclear whether Rameshbabu will himself produce the film or shares the opportunity with some other producer.
