Raju spoke evocatively on the finer aspects of Manavathaavaadam (humane aspect) as it gets reflected in the literary works of the writer non-pareil.

Later, Ganapathiraju V.S.L. Narasimha Raju, vice president of the Sahithi, who received the Potti Sree Ramulu Telugu University award for his contribution in the field of Library Information Science in Andhra Pradesh for 2004, was felicitated. A scion of the family of Ganapathiraju's known for its penchant for higher education, G.V.S.L.N. Raju, born in 1933, obtained degrees in Mathematics Economics, Philosophy , Political Science, Library Science, and a Ph.D in Library and Information Science, Andhra University besides PG diploma in Journalism.

Starting his professional career as a professional assistant in AU Library in 1956, shifted to teaching as an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Library & Information Science in 1966 and finally retired as professor and head of the department and chairman, Board of Studies in 1993. He then worked in the same capacity in Nagarjuna University during 1993-94 and also served a two-year teaching assignment in between at the Maiduguri University, Nigeria.
