`Titanic Weekend' on Discovery

Everyone knows how the story of the Titanic ends — with the loss of 1,500 lives on the magnificent ship's maiden voyage in April 1912. But that story began years earlier, with the dream of building the largest moving object ever made. Discovery Channel relives the extraordinary realisation of that dream in the `Titanic Weekend' special. A story filled with triumph, despair, greed and ultimately, tragedy.

The first episode in the special — Titanic: Birth Of A Legend — will air on Saturday, December 10 at 9 pm.

Giving a poignant farewell to the most spectacular shipwreck in history, James Cameron, writer, directorof the"Titanic," made his last trip to the doomed ship in the summer of 2005.
