NRI festival

Hamsadhwani will be celebrating its 11th NRI festival 2005 and 16th music and drama festival 2006, for 120 days with a total of 150 concerts. The combined festival will commence on December 11 at The Youth Hostel, Indiranagar, under the presidentship of the Governor of West Bengal, Gopalakrishna Gandhi. The new president of The Music Academy, N. Murali, will be felicitated. The editor of `Kalki,' Seetha Ravi, will inaugurate the series. U.S. vice-counsel, Mahvash Siddiqui will be the guest of honour. The NRI concerts consist of 30 music and 20 dance recitals. Eight Hindustani concerts will be presented from Jan.5-9. The drama week is from March 27 to April 3, 2005.
