On BBC World, Talking Movies, (December 19, at 0900 hours) takes a look at "The Producers," which first gained attention as a film with Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel. The story revolves round a producer and his accountant who banked on the failure of a Nazi musical in order to make a fortune.

The comedy then became a hit musical. Now stars of that Broadway show, Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, are in a remake of the original film.
