MADAN'S THIRAI PAARVAI SPECIAL: Vijay TV, Sunday, 9 a.m.

Vijay TV will telecast Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 - celebrity show, on December 31 at 9 p.m. At 10 p.m. "Sigaram Thotta Manithargal 2005" — a show honouring the great achievers who have reached a pinnacle in the year 2005 — featuring Ilayaraja, Radhakrishnan IAS, Jayakanthan and others will be aired.
Some of the special programmes to be aired on new year day include Leoniyin Sirappu Pattimandram (8 a.m.) Kalakkiathu Yaar — a comedy show (11 a.m.) Edahrkku Puthaandu (1 p.m.) and Sangeetha Sangamam (6 p.m.)
Madans Thirai Paarvai treated the film personalities to an exciting event at Le Meridian Hotel recently. The show hosted by cartoonist Madan, reached its 200th episode and the leading stars of Tamil filmdom attended the show.
In a shift from the usual format, Madan was questioned by an audience from the industry — K. Balachandar, Vikram, Vivek, Prakashraj, Satyaraj and others.Swarnamalya anchored the show and the event will be aired for two hours on January 1 from 9 a.m.

Southern Spice Music brings the essence of Bharat Sangeet Utsav on December 31 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. It will bring out five delightful choices — Begum Parveen Sultana, Prof. T. N. Krishnan, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and T. N. Seshagopalan — that no classical music lover will want to miss out.
On Jaya TV
Jaya TV will be telecasting `Kalakkal 2006' live from MGM Dizzee World on December 31 from 11 p.m.
Actors Arya, Jeeva, Prakashraj, Navya Nair, Asin and Padmapriya; music director Devi Sriprasad; directors Thankar Bachan and Priya; and cameraman R. D. Rajasekar are some of the film personalities who will be receiving the awards for the year 2005.
Interview with actor Padmapriya will be aired on January 1 at 12.30 p.m.
