DD Podhigai and DD Regional Network have been re-telecasting Visaalam at 10.10 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays from December 26.

Uniquely tracing a family history in a matriarchal line, the serial, with story and dialogue by Dr. S. Krishnaswamy, grippingly portrays social change over five generations.

Dramatising social history from 1900 to the present, the serial achieved a good audience loyalty during the first telecast and also won the best TV story award of the Mylapore Academy.

Visaalam was produced by Dr. Mohana and directed by Gita Krishna Raj under the banner of Krishnaswamy Associates.
