Glitter, glamour and Hollywood in all its splendour, as the red carpet gets rolled for the stars of the silver screen. Tears of happiness, a few of joy follow as nominations and awards gets announced. Not forgetting the live acts that make the event so special. The biggest night of the year in Hollywood is coming up soon. Oscar night! And BBC World's Talking Movies (on January 8 at 0900 hours) turns the focus on it.
It lists the likely candidates to collect trophies including Judi Dench and Ralph Fiennes. Dench did the lead role in "Mrs. Henderson Presents," a film about a controversial cabaret theatre in London. While Fiennes was seen in the political thriller, "The Constant Gardener." There is also a preview of Woody Allen's new film "Match Point."So what if you cannot be at the Kodak Theatre. Time to sit back with some buttered popcorns and watch the drama unfold in your living room.
