Jayanthi celebrations

"Though there are several living beings, humans alone are categorised as good and bad, depending on their deeds."

These were the words of Sakti Amma, managing trustee, Sri Narayani Peetam, during his benedictory address on the occasion of his 30th Jayanthi celebrations, at the Peetam premises, in Thirumalaikkodi on Tuesday. Sakti Amma went on to say that it is Bhakti (devotion), which motivates Man to do good deeds. He therefore appealed to the people to develop Bhakti. "I was attracted by Sakti Amma's love," Edo Kahn, said a musician from Australia. He played on the guitar and sang an English song, which he had composed in praise of Amma.

A group of 30 devotees from Australia sang along. His brother, Nadav and another fellow Australian devotee, Ben Lee, also sang in praise of Amma. The singing was followed by kalasabhishekam.
