Divine gems

Kallidaikurichi A. Sundaram Iyer, reputed vainika vidwan, was a disciple of Ambi Dikshitar, who belonged to the Muthuswami Dikshitar lineage. His contribution to music was by propagating Dikshitar songs by publishing them with notation and meaning in 16 volumes, writing music text books and other books like Sangeetha Pracheena Paddathi.

Sri Dikshitar Kirtana Mala, (Part 2, Rs. 75) with 32 Dikshitar gems including Navagraha kritis, with notation and meaning in Tamil (by R. Thiagarajan), is a treasure that should find a place in the shelf of all musicians, vidyartis and rasikas.
