Embar avatara utsavam

Sri Embar's Avatara Utsavam at Madura Mangalam near Sriperumbudur is to be held from February 1-11. The salient features of this utsavam are: Vellai Sathupadi (Feb. 6), Car festival (Feb. 9), Sathumurai (Feb. 10) and Gandhapodi Vasantham (Feb. 11).

All ailments relating to the eyes are said to be cured if the Archa Murthy at the Madura Mangalam temple is worshipped. Embar's Tirunakshatram is celebrated in the month of Thai.

The temple needs funds for the construction of Vimanam over Sri Embar sannidhi, Vahana Mandapam and Hanuman sannidhi.
