Funds needed
The statue of Sri Vijayagopala Swamigal, who lived 300 years ago in Polagam and whose compositions invariably find a place in all the segments of traditional bhajan, namely, Thodayamangalam, pooja, divyanamam, dolotsavam and mangalam was found in the Adikesava Perumal temple there. A samadhi, which was in a dilapidated condition in the village, was identified as that of the swamiji. Muralidhara Swamigal has built a math in this place for which aradhana is performed every year.
This year it will be conducted on February 9. Contributions for the aradhana may be sent to Polagam Sri Vijayagopala Yatiswamigal Aradhana Trust, Agraharam, Polagam, Nagai district, Pin - 609 702.

The Akhila Bharatha Madhwa Mahamandala's Madhwa Philosophical Conference is celebrating its silver jubilee from February 3-6.
