Music Recitals

Arnab Chakrabarty, disciple of sarod maestro Buddhadev Dasgupta, presented a sarod recital at the India Habitat Centre. Alliance Francaise de Delhi, in association with the Embassy of France, presented a Jazz concert by Eric Lohrer Quartette at the IIC Fountation Lawns.

Dance Performances

Suniye, Society for Hearing Impaired Children, presented Atma Jyoti, a dance performance choreographed by Jayalakshmi Eshwar, this week at the Delhi Tamil Sangam auditorium. This was part of the Society's annual day celebrations.

And Ganesa Natyalaya presented the Bharatanatyam arangetram of Anupriya Guha at the Kamani auditorium.

Theatre Performance

Stray Dog Productions, Dublin, presented `Voices in the Wind', a solo performance by Rynagh O' Grady at the Habitat Centre. The play voiced the thoughts of three contemporary Irish women and delved into areas that are only beginning to come to the surface in Ireland.

Art Exhibitions

The exhibitions that concluded recently included Amit Mehra's exhibition of photography His Signature; Amit Pasricha's exhibition of photographs Bandbajawallahs at the Habitat, Romancing with Stone by Makan Saha at the Lalit Kala; an exhibition of paintings by Biraj Kumar Paul and Sanjoy Banerjee at Lokayata, Hauz Khas Village; K.S. Kulkarni's exhibition at Arushi Arts; Apparao Galleries' The Real World, an exhibition of artworks in fibre and paper by Smriti Dikshit; Lino Mannocci's exhibition Let There be Smoke at Gallery Nature Morte; N.S. Rana's exhibition of sculptures of bronze and metal reliefs at Shridharani Gallery; recent paintings of Sudhangsu Bandyopadhyay at Gallerie Ganesha; Sanjib Saha's Colours of Cocktail at the Habiart Gallery.
