India International Centre witnessed Tevaram recital by Pithukuli Murugadas and party from Chennai which was followed by Sufiana kalam by various artistes earlier this week.
Film Shows
While the Italian Embassy Cultural Institute presented for its film show members the Italian film Quo Vadis, Baby?, the British High Commission screened Footprints, a film on social change, made by a group of young people from the Beyond Borders project. And Alliance Francaise de Delhi, paying tribute to Isabelle Hupper, the French actress, screened her films La dentelliere, Sauve qui peut (la vie), Loulou, Coup de foudre, La separation, Madame Bovary, La ceremonie and Saint-Cyr.
Comedy Play
RAS Society for Education Art & Culture mounted a comedy play "Biwion Ka Madarsa" at the LTG auditorium, Mandi House.
Art Exhibitions
The art exhibitions that concluded recently included an exhibition of sculptures and vessels by Latika Katt at the Anant Art Gallery; an exhibition of paintings by women icons of Bhil and Gond tribes of Madhya Pradesh at the Lalit Kala Akademi; Meera Goyal exhibition of her watercolours, "Vasant Bahar, The Festival of Flowers" also at the Lalit Kala and an exhibition of bowls and platters by Indian and international ceramic artists at the Visual Arts Gallery.
Kuchipudi Dance
Pasyal Ramchandani, disciple of Raja and Radha Reddy, presented a dance recital titled "Rhythmic Elegance" this past week-end at the Triveni.
