Twilight melodies

Renuka Sangeeth Sabha is organising an all-night music festival, Smruthi, on Februray 11.

The event, which starts at 9 p.m., is a tribute to the well-known vocalist, the late Ganabhanu Pt. Arjunsa Nakod.

Mahesh Joshi, Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Bangalore, will inaugurate the show at Ravindra Kalakshetra, J.C. Road.

The concert will go on till morning and will have vocalists and instrumentalists performing throughout the night. Pt. Ganapathi Bhat Hasanagi (vocal), Ustad Shabbir Nisar (tabla), Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar (vocal), Pt. Praveen Godkindi (flute), B.K. Anantharaman and Amit A. Nadig (flute) are some of the artistes that music patrons from the city can look forward to.

Entry to the concert is free but donations and contributions to the Sabha are welcome and are exempted from Income Tax, say the organisers.
