Foreign Films
As a tribute to the French actress, Isabelle Huppert, Alliance Francaise de Delhi screened her films La Pianiste, La vie promise and La ceremonie this past week. Italian Embassy Cultural Institute presented the Italian film Fate Come Noi (Just Do It) this past Wednesday.
And Goeth-Institut presented at the Max Mueller Bhavan, the experimental film The Fallen Curtain, programme curated for the "Oberhausen Film Festival" 2005.
Music & Dances Programmes
While Kathak dancer Prerna Shrimali of the Jaipur Gharana, presented traditional repertoire and compositions based on Kabir's poetry at the Habitat Centre, Aishwarya Padmanabhan from Chennai presented a Bharatanatyam recital at the IIC.
Indian council for Cultural Relations presented a Music & Dance Festival at the Kamani earlier this week, featuring folk dances from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Niel Nongkynrih and Shillong Chamber Choir from Meghalaya. Alliance Francaise de Delhi presented an evening of music featuring Sunanda Rao-Erdem, soprano, accompanied by Erhard Goebel Gross this past Monday.
Besides there was a piano recital by Karoly Mocsari from Hungary at the IIC and a Hindustani vocal recital by Uma Garg at the Habitat Centre.
