Dance Performances
While Bharatanatyam danseuse Rasika Khanna presented a traditional repertoire at the Habitat Centre, Ganesa Natyalaya presented the Bharatanatyam arangetram of Sonakshi Sharma, disciple of Saroja Vaidyanathan, at the Karnataka Sangha.
Music Programmes
Artistes' Forum presented an evening of bhajans and ghazals by R.K. Saxena, Vibha Sinha, Kala Verma and Vidisha Saxena at the Habitat Centre earlier this week, and Triveni hosted a Mridangam arangetram of Puduvai B. Manohar. And South Indian Sangam presented a four-day Trimurthigal Music Festival and Thyagaraja Aradhana at Ganesh Mandir, Mayur Vihar, featuring artistes like Vasantha Sundaram, M.G. Swaminathan, Jayalakshmi Rangarajan, Anantha Lakshmi Balasubramanian, Radha Venkatachalam and others.
Art Exhibitions
The exhibitions that concluded recently included Kamana Pushkale's works at Arushi Arts; rare photographs by Raja Lala Deen Dayal at Gallery Art Indus; recent works by Viraj Naik at Gallerie Nvya; Richa Arora's Choreographic Crystallizations by the Triveni; a solo show of water colours by Ganesh Haloi and another solo show of water colours by Anupam Sud, presented by Gallery Espace; works of Sultana Hasan and Mridul Chandra at the Visual Arts Gallery; and Patrick Rimoux's installations from Indian waste negative rolls presented by Alliance Francaise de Delhi.
Italian Film
Italian Embassy Cultural Institute presented the Itaian film "Il Gioco Di Ripley" (Ripley's Game) earlier this week.
