Catch a piece of the action
A still from "The Grand Canyon"
If you want to watch a good film and yet have reservations about our own jiving jacks of Bollywood, then Hollywood is offering a view of its historic Grand Canyon at the famed Colorado River and that too in a `just-next-to-you' kind of experience. Because it is being screened at IMAX Theatre atthe Pacific Mall, Kaushambi, which has a towering IMAX screen 90 feet high and 60 feet wide, with a 12000-watt surround sound system. Hence, the film titled "The Grand Canyon: Its Hidden Secrets" promises spectacular cinema viewing, as it is also filmed on IMAX 70 mm film - the world's largest film stock ever made. The hall's special steep seating rake promises theatregoers an unobstructed view, and a sensation of being a part of the thrills of the film. The film would continue throughout February with five shows daily. The tickets for these shows, two in Hindi at 11.05 and 8.15 a.m., and three in English at 3, 7 and 9.20 p.m., cost Rs.140 during weekdays and 160 during weekends.
