Ghulam Ali to perform in Bangalore

Ghazal king Ghulam Ali is back again. This time he is touring all the metros of the country to celebrate 50 years of his ghazal career.

The maestro will perform at the Ambedkar Bhavana on March 4, 7 p.m.. Tickets are available at Rs. 1,000, 500 and 250. Ghulam Ali has also offered to conduct a ghazal workshop at Le Meridien for aspiring ghazal artistes on March 5 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at Planet M, all outlets of K.C.Das, Pizza Corner, Koramangala,Brigade Road, Indiranagar, Malleswaram, and Calypso.

Comedy

Top Cast and Artistes' Repertory Theatre is repeating the production of Eric Chappell's comedy Theft on March 3, 4, 5, at Ranga Shankara at 7.30 p.m.

The play is packed with one-liners, daring reversals and comments on marriage, money, and crime. The play is directed by N. Ravi Kumar and the cast includes Surabhi Herur, Kishore Acharya, Harish Sheshadri, Kshama R Kumar and Raghuram D.A.

Top Cast is venturing out to conduct workshops and collaborate with other organisations under its new branch Binding Wire.

Music of the world

Maatrika presents an unusual musical adventure Shoonya on March 3 and 4 at Alliance Francaise, Thimmaiah Road. The group lead by Ashok Kumar, fuses instruments from different parts of the world into a unique musical form. The concert will have instruments like the Hawaiian guitar the didgeridoo, thumba and the djembe. For details contact 93419 66804.
