Vidwat Sadas at Mannargudi
Sri Annaswami Iyengar 62nd Vidwat Sadas will take place on March 30, 31 and April 1, at Srinivasa Nilayam, Mannargudi Sri Rajagopala Swami Sannadhi Street, (near the Vanamamalai Matam) (ph: 04367 226998), on all the three days between 3 p.m. and 4.30 p.m., after which vidwans will render religious discourses.
Diamond jubilee

Tyagaraja day
As part of its 106th anniversary celebrations, Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha is celebrating Tyagaraja Day on March 19 at Mylapore Fine Arts Club Hall, 3 p.m. onwards. Rukmani Ramani and her students will render pancharatna kritis after a small puja. M. S. Uma Mahesh will render popular Tyagaraja kritis (4.30 p.m.) and Kadayanallur Rajagopala Bhagavathar, namasankeertanams (6.30 p.m.).

Carnatic music camp
Isai Mazhalai, for the second consecutive year, is conducting an advanced vocal Carnatic music camp for six weeks, from April 14.
The camp will train children who already know to sing 20 varnams and 30 keertanas. They will be trained in alapanas, swarams and given practise with pakka vadyams.
