See the radio!

We have grown up listening to the radio and always wondered how the radio jockeys presented our favourite programmes. Film Salaam Namaste did give peep into it through Preity Zinta's role and also Rang De Basanti to some extent. But now even a commoner would be able to see the man and the woman who speaks from our favourite box. How?

Mobile studios

With the launch of the latest `mobile studios' by Radio Mirchi it is now possible to see the otherwise unseen radio jockey.

A peep into how a radio jockey presents a programme was viewed by many when a well-known RJ Anant did an entire show from a mobile studio for the first time at Sahara Mall in Gurgaon just recently.

The mobile studios have been introduced to enhance the interactivity and people's participation in the radio broadcasting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Station Director New Delhi, Kanwalbir Singh said that with the introduction of these mobile studios the radio broadcasting would get a step closer to the customers. It would provide them the same entertainment but with a difference.

With the coming of Radio FM, especially in metropolitan cities, one can easily spot someone or the other listening to a radio in a car, on the road, sitting in a restaurant, while shopping etc.

Undoubtedly radio is one of the most out reached media today relaying programmes almost to the entire length and breadth of the country. And with the introduction of such innovative ideas the position of the radio can only be expected to improve.
