Concerts
Shriram's Group's Annual Series of 12 concerts, jointly organised by Hamsadhwani, featuring a panel of artistes from Mumbai and Chennai under the Youth Talent Programme will be inaugurated at Youth Hostel, Indira Nagar on May 6, 6 p.m. Sulochana Pattabhiraman, music critic, will preside. This will be followed by B. Vijayagopal's flute recital.
Unison School of Music and Composition has organised a musical performance on the keyboard by Master V. Chandrasekar along with the students of the school at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz, on May 7, 4 p.m. V. Ramamurthy, Retd. IAS officer, will be the chief guest.
Aradhana
Sri Ramana Sath Sangam, Nanganallur, is celebrating the 56th aradhana of Bhagwan Ramana Maharshi at Sri Varasiddhi Vinayagar temple on May 7. Thenkachi Ko. Swaminathan will speak.
Competition
Neelakanta Sivan Cultural Academy, Velachery, is conducting a music competition at Srinivasa Sastri Hall on May 28. 9 a.m. Juniors (below 15) and seniors (15-25) are eligible to take part. The time allotted is 7 minutes. A list of three songs has to be submitted by the participants, which cannot be changed later on. Tamil play
Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha has organised a Tamil drama, "Manasukkul Varalama" to be presented by Kovai Padhu's Goodwill Stage at Mylapore Fine Arts Club. Written by Naanu the play will be staged on May 6 at 6.45 p.m.
