Stargazing

Chiru's team off to Italy

The shooting for Chiranjeevi's latest film Stalin, produced by Nagendrababu on the banner of Anjana Productions, is on. So far one song and some key scenes have been shot in Hyderabad. The unit left for Italy to film two songs. With the tremendous success of Gajini, director Murugadoss is working hard to make this film a hit. The highlight, say unit members, is a song featuring Chiranjeevi and Trisha.

All in the family

Music director Devisri Prasad's brother, Sagar, who won Nandi Award last year for his playback singing in Arya, is making his debut as hero. Devisri Prasad's father and dialogue writer Satyamurthy will direct the film. The film is called Music Lovers. Ganireddy is producing the film.

`Pokiri' to be remade in Tamil

After a few successive flops, Puri Jagannadh has made a comeback with his latest film Pokiri. The film, we hear, has been getting good collections across the state. Producer and financier Singanamala Ramesh bagged the remake rights of the film in Tamil for a sum of Rs 1.40 crore. According to sources, Tamil hero Vijay has agreed to do the film. Another interesting fact is that Maa TV had purchased the satellite rights of Pokiri for a whopping Rs 90 lakh.

Krishna Bhagawan becomes a hero

Several comedians like Ali, Venumadhav and others have acted as heroes. Now, Krishna Bhagawan has bagged the chance of acting as a hero. He is playing a lead role along with Sivaji in Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila. While Sivaji plays the role of Tata, Krishna Bhagawan will play Birla. However, as the title suggests, there will be only one heroine. Laya is pairing up with Sivaji for the third time in this film. They earlier acted together in two hits - Missamma and Adirindayya Chandram. The shooting of the film, which is directed by Srinivasa Reddy, is nearing completion.

Ileana in demand

With two consecutive successes - Devadasu and Pokiri - to her credit, Ileana is riding high. Now she is all set to act opposite another mass hero, Raviteja, for a film to be produced by B.V.V.S.N. Prasad. However, she is busy with several assignments and is willing to accept the offer only if the producer agrees to start his production after August. The films she has include one opposite NTR to be directed by Krishnavamsi, and a film with Prabhas. Puri Jagannadh has also sought her dates for his forthcoming venture with Allu Arjun. In the mean time, Ileana injured her right leg while shooting for the film Jadoo in Chennai. She soon resumed her shooting with Prabhas for Munna in Vizag.
